• Mon, December 11: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  with a Holiday party!  This will be our last regular meeting of 2000!  Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

• Mon, December 4: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  Mr. Pieper will be available before the meeting for all Scouts needing a Scoutmaster conference.

• Sat-Sun, December 2-3: Overnight camping trip with local Webelos Dens to Placerita Canyon.  Meet at the Scout Shed at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning; return at Noon on Sunday.  Mr. Anderson is the trip leader. Click here for the checklist.

• Mon, November 27: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  All Webelos planning on going on the Placerita Canyon campout should attend this meeting.  Mr. Pieper will be available before the meeting for any Scouts needing a Scoutmaster conference. 

• Mon, November 20: No meeting tonight.  LCUSD Thanksgiving Holiday break.

• Mon, November 13: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.

• Sat-Sun, November 11-12: Overnight camping trip to Cumorah Crest.  We will have special advancement and service project opportunities on this trip; some merit badges may also be offered.  [Trip organizer is Mrs. Heath, (818) 790-3882.]  Meet at the Scout Shed at 8:00 a.m.  We will return Sunday at 2:00 p.m. 

• Fri-Sat, November 10-11: Rose Bowl District Camporee scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled.  The next Camporee will be October 12-14, 2001.

• Mon, November 6: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  We are expecting visitors from another Webelos Den, so please be in proper uniform and ready to greet our guests.

• Sat/Sun, November 4/5: Cyclist Merit Badge Training: The next 10 or 15 mile training rides will be Saturday, Nov. 4th at 9 a.m. and/or Sunday, Nov. 5th at 11:00 a.m.  Please RSVP to merit counselor Mrs. Barnes at (818) 249-5382 by Thursday Nov. 2nd with your preference.  Participants will meet in front of Descanso Gardens.  Again, it's not too late for any Scouts in our Troop to earn the cyclist merit badge. Reminder: Scouts who have participated on cyclist trips need to write up a paragraph giving the date, mileage, start and destination, time, and observations.  Only when these paragraphs are submitted will your trip(s) be officially recorded as meeting the requirements. Please submit your written reports to Diana Barnes ASAP. Thank you. 
  

• Sat-Sun, November 4-5: The overnight camping trip to Cumorah Crest with local Webelos dens has been rescheduled.  It will take place instead on December  2-3 and be held at Placerita Canyon.

• Mon, October 30:  Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  We will make final plans for the Cumorah Crest camping trip next weekend.  Happy Halloween!

• Fri-Sun, October 27-29: Beach camping trip.  Watch for further details.  [Trip organizer is Mr. Anderson, (818) 790-6136.]  Meet at the Scout Shed Friday at 4:00 p.m.  Please be on time so we can leave promptly.  Be sure to bring money for Friday dinner and Sunday lunch.  Click here for the checklist. Be sure to bring your bicycle at that time.

• Mon, October 23: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  We will make final plans for the beach camping trip next weekend.  Mr. Green, Superior Court Commissioner,  will be present to handle the First Class civic leader advancement requirement.  We will also have a segment for the Personal Management merit badge.

• Mon, October 16: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.

• Sat, October 14: Cyclist Merit Badge Training today:
  Reminder, all interested participants must RSVP to Diana Barnes, our cyclist merit badge counselor for Sat. Oct. 14, cyclist training by the morning of Friday, Oct. 13.  Please call Ms. Barnes at (818) 249-5382 for details and the meeting place.

• Fri-Sun, October 13-15: Merit Badge weekend at Camp Trask.  Badges include: Environmental Science, Citizenship in the Nation, Swimming, First Aid, and Wilderness Survival.  We have some Scouts attending and more are welcome.  Contact Mrs. Lu at (818) 952-7168 and read the flyer for full details.

• Mon, October 9: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.

• Mon, October 2: Regular meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m.  Mr. Yundt is scheduled to attend and begin our Personal Management Eagle merit badge program.

• Sun, October 1: Cyclist merit badge class --15 mile ride.  Meet at the Lu's, 4587 Viro Road, La Canada for a 15-mile requirement ride.  Destination: La Canada, Pasadena area.  Please meet at 6:45 a.m., departure at 7 a.m. promptly.  Estimated time of return 8:45 a.m. Please bring water bottle, snack if needed, helmet, and bike.  RSVP to our cyclist counselor Mrs. Diana Barnes at (818) 249-5382 by Friday, 09/29/00. All Scouts in Troop 502 are invited to join. It's still not too late to earn the cyclist merit badge. On the Troop's next beach/bike trip you will be able to fulfill two 25-mile bike ride requirements.
