  • Sat, Jun 28: Mt. Islip hike.  Meet at the scout shed at 6:30am SHARP! Wear proper hiking boots, layer clothing & hat and bring your 10 essentials, including 2 liters of water & lunch in a daypack. All are welcome, but please RSVP to Diana Barnes by Thurs. 6/26. This is a required hike for all those participating in the Sierra Trip. We will return back to the scout shed around 2:30 pm.  Preparatory hike for the Sierra backpacking trip on July 10-13.  See flyer for details.

  • Mon, Jun 16: Jeffrey Tran holds the first of his Eagle Project Karate training sessions. Click flyer for details.

  • Sun, Jun 8: Mount Baden Powell hike.  Preparatory hike for the Sierra backpacking trip on July 10-13.  See flyer for details.  (Cancelled.)

  • Sat, Jun 7: Scout Expo 2003 at Santa Anita Park

  • Sat, Jun 7: Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Russell Shepherd and Virgile Borderies at St. George's at 10:00 a.m.

  • Mon, Jun 2: Last regular meeting before summer break tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  Final Boards of Review before the next Court of Honor.

  • Fri-Sat, May 30-31: Henniger Flats one-night  backpacking campout.  Preparatory campout for the Sierra backpacking trip on July 10-13.  See flyer for details.  Departure time has been changed to 4:00 p.m. Friday.

  • Mon, May 26: Memorial Day Sno-Kone Booth at Memorial Park

  • Mon, May 19: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  Special mandatory meeting at 6:30 p.m. for those participating in the Sierra backpacking trip on July 10-13.  See flyer for details.

  • Fri-Sun, May 16-18: Kern River White Water Rafting Campout.  Meet at the Scout Shed at 3:30 p.m. on Friday for a 4:00 p.m. departure.  We will return at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Look at the photos of the Kern River taken on Sunday, May 4: Photo 1, Photo 2.  Below you will find the current weather forecast as well as the water flow forecast.  We should be there for some of the peak flow conditions (third bar from the left).  There is now also a Kern River checklist for your use.  A roster of everyone on the trip as well as our schedule and emergency location information can be found in the "Scouts Only" area of this website under "Rosters."

  • Fri-Sat, Apr 11-12: Rose Bowl District Basic Leaders Training class.

  • Mon, Apr 7: No meeting tonight.  Enjoy the La Caņada USD Spring Break.

  • Fri-Sun, Apr 4-6: Lost Valley cabin camping with rifle and shotgun shooting sports.  Meet at the Scout Shed at 5:00 p.m. on Friday for immediate departure.  We will return Sunday at 2:00 p.m.  Bring money for food Friday evening and Sunday afternoon and some extra for camp in case the camp store is open.  You must bring a signed firearms permission slip which is available [here].  Please also bring the essential items from the personal gear checklist [here].  The weather forecast as of Friday, 4/4 at 8:00 a.m. is:
