• Mon, Mar 31: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  We will have representatives from the Order of the Arrow to conduct an OA election.  At least half of the Troop's active members must be present in order to have the election--please be sure and attend even if you are not an OA candidate.

• Fri-Sun, Mar 28-30: Camp Eaton First Class campout with zip line, dirt boarding, and rock climbing.  Meet at the Scout shed no later than 5:00 p.m.  There is a checklist for your personal gear [here].

• Mon, Mar 24: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.

• Mon, Mar 17: Special meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.   We will have representatives from the Order of the Arrow to conduct an OA election.  At least half of the Troop's members must be present in order to have the election--please be sure and attend even if you are not an OA candidate. (Election cancelled due to illness of OA representative.)

• Sat, Mar 15: On Saturday, March 15, 2003 "Tour de Sewer" fun bike ride will be held. The ride begins in Bell Garden and will take place along the San Gabriel River Trail. There are 3 length options; 15 mile, 30 mile and 62 mile rides. The cost to participate is $40 per adult and $20 for kids, this includes lunch and an event T-shirt. If anyone is interested call Mrs. Barnes for information. Adults are needed to transport & ride. The 15 mile ride is all flat & easy, the 30-mile ride has one moderate hill, the 62-mile ride is difficult.
  
  If you participate in any of the distances you may receive credit toward the Cycling Merit Badge. Mrs. Barnes will be riding the 62 or 30 mile route so additional adults will be needed. Start times are as follows:
  8 am - 62 mile
  9:30 am - 30 mile
  10:30 am - 15 mile
  11:30 - 3pm - BBQ Lunch

• Fri-Sun, Mar 14-16: Merit Badge Camp at Camp Eaton.

• Mon, Mar 10: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.

• Mon, Mar 3: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  We will meet in the Yellow Door classroom, not in Lower Softley Hall.

• Fri-Sun, Feb 28-Mar 2: Joshua Tree rock climbing, bouldering and camping trip.  Please note mandatory training meetings on February 3 and 10--see below for details.

• Mon, Feb 24: Court of Honor tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  Also, final preparations for the Joshua Tree trip.

• Sun, Feb 23: Hike up to White City in Altadena
  led by Diana Barnes. Meet at the scout shed at 11 am and return around 3 pm. Bring a lunch and 1 liter of water, wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots, hat, light weight jacket plus 10 essentials in a day pack.

• Mon, Feb 17: No regular meeting tonight.  Enjoy the  President's Day holiday.

• Mon, Feb 10: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's.  Final opportunity for Scoutmaster conferences and Boards of Review before our next Court of Honor.  Also, final preparations for the Lost Valley trip.

Joshua Tree planning and preparation meeting at 6:30 p.m. before the regular meeting.  All participants must attend these meetings.  We will be learning skills for the trip and the climbing merit badge.

• Tue, Feb 4: Free Mount Whitney hiking clinic at REI in Arcadia at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Mrs. Barnes for further details and transportation (818-249-5382).

• Mon, Feb 3: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at St. George's. 

Joshua Tree planning and preparation meeting at 6:30 p.m. before the regular meeting.  All participants must attend these meetings.  We will be learning skills for the trip and the climbing merit badge.

• Sun, Feb 2: Boy Scout Sunday at St. George's at the 10:00 a.m. service.  All members of Troop 502 who are not participating in the ski trip are strongly encouraged to attend that service in Class A uniform.  St. George's is our Troop's sponsor.

• Mon, Jan 27: Meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the La Canada High School track to work on the Personal Fitness Merit Badge and to complete testing for Tenderfoot physical fitness requirements.

• Mon, Jan 20: No meeting tonight. Enjoy the  Martin Luther King Day holiday

• Mon, Jan 13: Meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the La Canada High School track to work on the Personal Fitness Merit Badge and to complete testing for Tenderfoot physical fitness requirements.

• Mon, Jan 6: Regular meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m.  Welcome back from the winter school break.

• Fri-Sat, Jan 3-4:  Mt. San Jacinto trip.  Meet at the Scout Shed at 7:00 a.m.  The day hikers will return at 6:00 p.m., and the overnight campers will return on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7:00 p.m.  (You must attend all three preparatory events in order to be able to go on this winter trip.)
