* one of "Ten Essentials"

We will be staying in tents at a developed campground with toilets and running water.  Temperatures can be cold or warm during the day, cold at night, and windy.  Rain is always possible.  Layering is essential to accommodate the possible temperature swings between day and night.  We will take at least one hike and a day pack is nice with some trail food, the ten essentials, spare clothing and some rain protection.  Water must be carried on any hike, and Nalgene bottle with a carrier is strongly recommended.  Our hike will take us to a waterfall where the boys like to get wet.  They can take an optional bathing suit or simply get their hiking clothes wet if it's a warm day.
