* one of "Ten Essentials" |
We will be staying in heated cabins with 8 bunks with mattresses per cabin. Up to four boys may sleep on the floor depending on the total number of Scouts attending (hence the optional Therma-Rest). Temperatures can be cold to mild during the day and cold at night. wind, rain and snow are always possible. Layering is essential to accommodate the possible temperature swings between day and night. If we are able to take a hike a day pack is nice with some trail food, the ten essentials, spare clothing and some rain protection. Water must be carried on any hike, and Nalgene bottle with a carrier is strongly recommended.
